Good for the health of football tournaments...'90-minute walk effect'

◆90 minutes

Studies have found that watching a football game as well as playing football can have a positive effect on your health. According to 먹튀폴리스, a recent study by a research team at leeds university in the U.S. found that football spectators experience a similar amount of body load as a fast-walking 90-minute walk by watching a cheering team play. The research team also found that if the cheering team won, spectators would feel uplifted 24 hours after the end of the game.

The study involved 25 Leeds fans aged 20-62 who watched three key matches played by Leeds United at the 2018-2019 English Championship (second division). At the time, Leeds United were in the play-off final with promotion to the First Division. The research team measured heart rate for fans before, after halftime, and after the game and found an average increase of 17%. Heart rate was at its highest when scoring a goal, rising by 27% after Leeds scored and 22% after the opposing team scored. Heart rate responded more significantly during important matches. Dr Andrea Utley, a sports scientist involved in the study, said: "Supporting a football team becomes moderate cardiovascular exercise. There are differences depending on the outcome of the game, but it has the effect of heightening or sinking emotions."" "Stress is not only bad stress, but also good stress," he said, explaining that "watching football can cause moderate emotions due to stress, which is beneficial for health."
